Kenojuak Ashevak
Sun Owl and Foliage, 1980
Among the printmakers associated with Cape Dorset’s Kinngait Studios, Kenojuak Ashevak distinguished herself by her productivity and originality—nothing is more enchanting than her prints of birds. Reflecting on her art as an Inuit, she said, “I am the light of happiness and I am a dancing owl.”
Ten 3½ x 5 in. blank notecards with envelopes in an acetate-topped box
