British artist Rosalind Wise creates fresh, lively large-format paintings of gardens, meadows, and other natural vistas. Many of her works are inspired by the glorious garden borders found in the United Kingdom. “I love the contrast of colour, texture and form found in garden borders, ” she notes. “I have also been inspired by the garden borders at Great Dixter designed by the late Christopher Lloyd. It is the colour combinations, their energy, scale and beauty, that I have tried to capture and emulate.”
