Koinobori Blank Quilled Greeting Card
Barcode: 843425115610
Koinobori, or carp-shaped windsocks, are flown in celebration of Children’s Day in Japan on May 5th. Koinobori streamers symbolize the hope that children will have the determination to grow up strong and healthy. While the meaning of the koinobori carp has changed over the centuries, the typical display is the black carp as the father, the red carp as the mother, and the smaller carp for each child. It’s common to see koinobori flown over houses with children.
